The Gospel at Home

Small Steps. Big Impact.

Parents are the primary disciple-makers of their kids. That doesn’t mean doing it perfectly—it means showing up with a simple plan, some intentionality, and the grace to keep going when rhythms slip. These 8 ideas are small, doable ways to bring Jesus into everyday life. Pick one and start this week.

Time in the Word

Read a verse, a story, or a short passage together. Keep it simple and let it become part of your everyday rhythm.

Prayer

Pray before meals, in the car, at bedtime—anywhere. Let your kids hear you talk to God in ordinary moments.

Worship

Sing together or play worship music at home. One song can shift the atmosphere and stir up joy.

Church Participation

Let your kids see that church matters. Sit together, take notes, and talk about what stood out to you after service.

Intentional Conversations

Use everyday moments—meals, rides, bedtimes—to talk about Jesus, big feelings, or hard questions.

Scripture Memory

Learn one verse at a time together. Say it in the car, during breakfast, or add motions to make it fun.

Using a Resource

Pick a devotional, catechism, or Bible storybook. A simple plan helps foster consistent conversations.
